Selena's Revival

Ugh this is a long overdue blog post and I apologize for late posts but here goes! If you've been following me on social media since the beginning of time you probably know that I am a HUUUGE Disney Channel fan and I love Miley, Demi, and Selena. Back in 2011 I saw Miley during her Corazon Gitano leg here in Manila, and last here I got to see Demi during her DEMI World Tour Manila leg (thanks to Starworld!). This year Selena Gomez came here for the Manila leg of her Revival Tour and as a solid follower of my Disney Trinity, I attended the show (thanks Smart!)

Surviving South Korea

Hello! I finally had time to write about our Seoul trip in its entirety here. As a part of my "Surviving" posts, (first was Indochina) I'm sharing with you guys this South Korean itinerary including cost estimates. I'll try to be as detailed as I can telling you how to survive Seoul under P22,000, all in!

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress

Before traveling to Korea, I did my research on the other places that most people (at least the people in my circle) don't usually go to (pa-hipster yuck). Then I stumbled upon this UNESCO Heritage site with an interesting backstory, the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon City which is just an hour train ride from the nation's capital.

Common Ground & Dongdaemun Design Plaza

Common Ground, a large pop-up store near Konkuk University is one of my favorite places in Seoul. Opened  April of 2015, the multi-culture complex houses several fashion and food brands by South Korean start-ups including social enterprises, but what's interesting about it is its architectural form -- it's a huge shopping center made of 200 shipping containers!
